Kyrene Kids Club - Early Learners


Early Learning Centers

Ages 3-5 Years (not yet in Kindergarten)

Location: Mirada | Estrella

Dates: May 26 - July 24

Times: 6:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.


An all-day summer program that features weekly themes, on-site events and a variety of activities to keep children engaged all day. Children will participate in water days, pancake breakfasts, learn about favorite story time characters and develop a love of learning. Families can register by the week with multiple partial day options available. NEW! Monthly Field Trips now available!


NEW! Bienvenidos Summer Camp

Ages 3 – incoming 1st graders

Location: Lagos

Dates: May 26 - July 24

Times: 6:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.

This unique dual language summer program supports the individual discovery and learning styles of young students through hands-on activities where students apply language in its natural environment. Register for partial days, by the week or as a wrap around the Summer Academy Spanish Immersion Camp at Lagos.
Summer Academy Spanish Immersion Camp
Incoming Kinder - 1st grade 
Locations: Lagos
Session 1 Dates: June 1 - June 25 (Monday-Thursday)
Times: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.  
This program is designed to help students practice conversational Spanish in a classroom setting through hands on activities, games, dramatic play, stories, songs, art and music. Students will have the opportunity to work in small groups and develop social skills while learning a second language. Instruction and literacy materials will be in Spanish.

School-Age Camps

The Kids Club Summer features a format unique from our school year programs and camps by providing staff led themes rooms where students rotate hourly; giving them the freedom and flexibility to build their day around their interests. Favorite theme rooms include: construction, art, dramatic play, active games, science, cooking, performing arts, game room and more! In addition to the daily enrichment, students also experience weekly on-site events and fields trips to exciting new destinations.*Estrella & Mirada: There will be no Kids Club offered during Summer Academy hours (8:00-12:00 p.m.)

Week 2:  1-2: Rhodes Aquatic Center; 3-6:  Xtreme Air Jump N Skate

Kyrene Adventure Tours

Incoming 3rd - 6th Grades

Location: Pueblo & Akimel A-al

Dates: May 26 - July 24

Times: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

More non-stop fun all summer! Each week, students will take part in daily on-site events and field trips! Mondays will feature an exciting on-site event like Minute to Win It Challenges, Obstacle Courses, Computer Lab projects and more. Tuesdays through Fridays students will be boarding the bus and taking off to check out some of the great locations Arizona has to offer including ASU Earth Science, Amazing Jakes, Odyssey Mirror Maze, Freedom Station, USA Gymnastics, Tonto Monument, Sunset Crater, Microsoft, Taliesin West, Stuffington Bear Factory, Lowell Observatory and More!  Check out field trips by the week: KAT Field Trips by the Week.


Summer Academy

3 year olds to incoming 8th graders

Choose from one to four-hour classes

Dates: June 29 – July 16 (Monday-Thursday)

Summer Academy
Two separate sessions (4 weeks in June, 3 weeks in July).
Incoming Kindergartners can register for Getting Ready for Kindergarten, to prepare for their new school experience. Elementary students have many new options like Kyrene Intramurals, Marimba Percussion, Jr. Coders, and Kids Dig Archaeology. Middle School students can pick from classes including Baseball, MechAnimation, Coding and Fantasy Baseball Stats. Kids Club and After Hours offer a wraparound program for families looking for extended day programs. Fun classes for three and four year olds including Alphabet Soup, Balance Bikes and more!

After Hours Summer

Each day will offer fun on-site events like cooking projects, dodgeball and other active games, Xbox/Wii games, On Deck card tournament and many more.

Field Trips! Each week students will go on two or three field trips to exciting destinations such as Sunsplash, Glow Putt AZ, Main Event & Flip Dunk. Options include partial weeks, half days and a Summer Academy wrap around program.

Summer Community Theatre
This exciting program will blend the love of performing with the knowledge and technical aspects of the stage. Students will work with a voice coach, learn choreography, how to apply stage make up, costume design and much more! If performing isn't your child's interest, we will also have a full working crew behind the stage.

Incoming 4th - 9th Grades
