Dear Mirada Parents,
We are proud to announce that our entire school is participating in this year’s Hour of Code learning event on December 7th during Computer Science Week (December 5-11). The Hour of Code is the largest learning event in history in which students from around world will be introduced to coding and computer science. We live in a world surrounded by technology and we know that whatever field our students choose to go into as adults, their ability to succeed will increasingly depend on understanding how technology works. Our Hour of Code is making a statement that Mirada is committed to providing the opportunity for all of our students to develop these foundational 21st century skills. See the attached flyer to learn more about the Hour of Code. This event ensures that all students are exposed to problem solving and inquiry based learning in which they learn skills that will help them achieve in all subject areas.
