Community Education Third Annual Play Day

Kyrene Community Education is hosting its third annual Play Day on Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Aprende Middle School, The event includes free admission to over 50 vendor and activity booths, jump houses, food trucks, arts and crafts, music performances, and much more.
The event features many STEM and creative activities for kids of all ages.  Parents will enjoy seeing children delight in “maker” and "tinker-type" activities, much like those used by Kyrene teachers and also offered in the award-winning Kyrene Kids Club and After Hours programs.  
There will be special appearances by the Monte Vista Winter Singers, Mileno Falcons, Brisas Mallet Masters, Esperanza and Estrella Marimba Bands, local fire and police departments. The event will once again end with a high-flying performance by the amazing aerialists from the ASU Men’s Gymnastics team.
Play Day is open to the public with free admission. Food and drink will be available for purchase. The event is sponsored by Kyrene’s Community Education Department to showcase the experience and excitement of after school and enrichment activities offered at Kyrene schools.
