About Mrs. Cochran
I love teaching young children! I have a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from Arizona State University. This is my sixteenth year of teaching, and my third year in the wonderful Waggoner community. I also love to spend time with my family. My daughter is a fourth grader here at Waggoner and my son Tyler is a sophomore at Mountain Pointe High School. My husband also teaches! When we aren't busy with school we love to spend our time camping, hiking and following college football!
Our Class
I have 21 wonderful students in class this year. We are busy building our classroom community, as well as learning about school rules and classroom routines. We have completed an author study of David Shannon and we are currently sharing books written and illustrated by Kevin Henkes. We are learning to make number models and record our thinking in pictures, numbers and words. We are also beginning to talk about North America, including all the national symbols for the United States of America.

Reminders
*We are currently collecting donations to cover the cost of classroom t-shirts. The t-shirts are color coded by classroom and have a cute Wildcat logo on the front. We use these on field trips and during special events at Waggoner. T-shirts will be kept here at school and sent home with each child at the end of the year. The approximate cost is $6.00 per student.

Homework
Homework comes home every Friday and is due back by the following Friday. Reading group homework will begin the week of September 2nd!
